AI Is Changing How We Build Businesses
By Zulkar Naim·October 11, 2026·2 min read
Starting an online business used to require more resources than many people had.
You needed technical skills, money to hire people, and enough time to manage a long list of tasks.
AI is changing that equation.
Today, a solo founder can use AI to research markets, explore ideas, write code, create content, analyze information, and automate repetitive work.
Things that once required several people can sometimes be handled by one person with the right tools.
That's a significant shift.
Small teams can do more
The biggest opportunity isn't simply using AI to produce more content or finish tasks faster.
It's being able to attempt things that previously felt out of reach.
You can test a business idea before investing months into it. You can build a prototype without assembling a large team. You can explore new markets and learn faster from real feedback.
AI lowers some of the barriers to getting started.
But it doesn't remove the need to think.
Tools don't replace judgment
It's easy to spend days testing new AI tools and feel like you're making progress.
But learning about tools and building a business are two different things.
A tool only becomes valuable when it helps you solve a real problem.
Before adopting a new tool, ask yourself three questions:
- What problem will this solve?
- Will it save meaningful time or improve the result?
- Can I use it to create something people actually need?
If you can't answer these questions, you probably don't need another tool yet.
Start building
You don't need to understand every AI model or follow every product launch.
Choose one problem. Find a practical way to solve it. Use AI where it helps. Put your work in front of people and learn from their response.
Repeat the process.
The people who benefit most from AI won't necessarily be those who know the most tools.
They'll be the people who know what they want to build and use those tools to make it happen.
AI gives you leverage. What you choose to do with that leverage is up to you.
Cheers,
